SULTANATE OF OMAN

One of the towns in the Sultanate of Oman, which is characterized by the diversity of geography ranging between flat plains and high sand dunes and high mountains, making it as one of the most important tourist areas in the Sultanate of Oman. It is thus favoured by many tourists and best visited when rains fall where sand grains consolidate. Its high sand dunes make it a suitable place for sand skating and skiing as well as a good place for sand bashing which is locally called A’Ronaat. Bidiyah has a population of about 18000 people. There are various tourist attractions of such as falajes, castles and forts, water springs. Nature ranges between sand, mountains, plains and green oases. It is famous for organizing camel races and Arabian horses races which are usually held at the end of each week, and witnesses many fans and camel and horse owners from inside and outside the Sultanate.
